Dot NET Domain Name Registrations
When the Dot NET gTLD was initially introduced in 1985, together with the first domain extensions on the web, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure establishments. Taking into account that there were no specific stipulations about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, .NET domains were obtained and used for various purposes and by numerous people. This TLD is a wonderful alternative to .COM, especially if the necessary domain with the latter TLD is not free for registration.
Booking a dot NET domain name with our firm is as easy as 1-2-3 and takes only a couple of minutes, considering that we work with an ICANN-accredited registrar firm. You can reserve such a domain for a time interval between one and ten years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer process is finished. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have taken an EPP transfer code – security measures set up by the dot NET Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily update the WHOIS contacts of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you don’t want this info to be public at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to get your real contact info.
The dot NET top-level domain supports internationalized names, so you can pick if you want to focus on a particular country or zone using a domain name in the regional language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
